Facebook button in Germany still not sanctioned

Ongoing trouble regarding the Facebook Like button on websites.

German IT magazine heise.de reports that there is still no final decision behind the legal consequences that arise with the use of Facebook Like buttons due to to its tracking nature. At least a new study is now shifting the focus from webmasters who run websites to Facebook itself for their possibly unlawful tracking procedures - which is good for me and all the other developers/webmasters.

Implementing all-inclusive solutions for my clients that typically include a Facebook integration of the website means that this issue will potentially lead to website changes for my clients should German lawmakers force me to remove/change/cripple those buttons.

I will keep track and let you know if anything happens.
